How often have you visited a Website and had trouble reading the Text? If the font color doesn’t display well against the background or the text is too small, many readers will become frustrated and click away from your site. Do you have the same complaints from your blog visitors or perhaps have some of the design problems above?

You have to make the reading experience on your Blog pleasant for your visitors. To improve your viewers reading experience there are some guidelines you can follow.

Use contrasting color:

Text is easy to read when the background color and the text color are in high contrast. It’s hard to read when the contrast is low.

Break down your post into small paragraphs:

Statistics shows on the internet most of the people do not read an article more than 10 seconds. Breaking a long paragraph into several smaller sections can attract your readers to read.

Text Formatting:

Impatient readers usually glance through the articles and read only the important points. To help them highlight the key phrases, product names or important points in your article. It improves the readability and the overall look of the article too. You can do this by applying bold/italic/underline formatting options from the formatting tools.

Use bullets and subheading where necessary:

They also help to get the readers attention. Make the sub heading brief and convey a summary of the section.

Avoid busy backgrounds

Single color background is more professional and the text is easy to read. Noisy background takes the readers attention away and screams “amateur”.

Use plain font and standard font size:

Plain text is easy to read than a decorative text.
