World of World Wide Web

Before we jump into creating our website it is helpful to understand how World Wide Web works. Web is a network of computers that stores web pages. Think of webpage as a car and web as a Garage. Like we park our car in the garage exactly the same way we need web to store our websites. There are millions of websites on the web and every website has an address so that we can find it. The address for the web page call Domain name. Web surfers use web browsers (Internet Explorer, Fire Fox, Mozilla, Google Chrome etc) to view the web pages. When the web surfers type the address of the web page (Domain Name) on the Web Browser the browser communicate with the computers on the web that stores content of the specific website and displays the web page on the browser.
